RAW format

RAW is an image file format that contains minimally processed data directly from the camera sensor. Unlike JPEG, which compresses and bakes in camera settings, RAW files preserve all captured information, allowing extensive post-processing adjustments to exposure, white balance, color, and detail without quality loss. Professional product photographers shoot in RAW because it provides the flexibility to correct issues and achieve perfect results. RAW files must be processed in software like Lightroom or Capture One before use.
