Shutter speed
How long the camera sensor is exposed to light.
What is shutter speed?
Shutter speed is the length of time your camera shutter stays open, measured in seconds or fractions of seconds (like 1/125 or 1/500). Faster shutter speeds freeze motion but let in less light, while slower speeds let in more light but can cause motion blur. For product photography on a tripod, shutter speed is less critical since products don't move. However, if shooting handheld, use at least 1/60 second to avoid camera shake.
Pro tips
Use a tripod so you can use any shutter speed without blur
For handheld shooting, keep shutter speed at 1/focal length or faster
